This is the show's official canadian page, I contacted them about copyright issues I may come across and they said they owned the rights to use the american copyrights and that I should be okay to use what I want from the site. I will be using this page for reference, photos, and utilizing their episode guide section.

Creative News League. "Feature: DK's True Blood- The Making of"
http://news.creativeleague.com/feature-dks-true-blood-the-making-of
This online article is all about the making of the opening sequence and deals with the imagery that was intentionally used. I will be using this source for a lot of my material on that subject. This is also where I got the idea for my main title.

Purity Ring Wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purity_ring
This is a short wikipedia article on the Purity Ring that explains what exactly a purity ring is. In my site I will discuss the similarity to the silver rings believers in the 'Fellowship of the Sun' wear.
Fellowship of the Sun. "Light of Day Institute. Soldiers of the Sun".
http://www.fellowshipofthesun.org/sos/
This is a fictional blog written as though the character Luke McDonald was discussing his beliefs. Entry one is a list of abominations, confirming my theories of the gay/vampire correlation.

Academic Texts

Hallab, Mary Y.. "The Religious Vampire: Reasons, Romantics, and Victorians." Vampire God: The Allure of the Undead in Western Culture. Albany, New York: State University Of New York Press, 2009. 67-89. Print.
In this text, Hallab states "…questions about religion, about the existence and nature of transcendent realties that complement, perhaps permeate, and guide this universe and give it meaning. Vampire writers must at least touch on these issues in creating a world in which these vampires can exist in a way that we cannot. But vampire literature is seldom pure fantasy; in most cases, the vampire is the only supernatural element in the story. […]" Which I will be using because of its helpfulness in understanding the way a vampire may represent something in a story. Whether it be a representation of something, or a catalyst to help the characters progress and evolve.

Kincheloe, Joe L., and Shirley R. Steinberg. Christotainment: Selling Jesus through Popular Culture. Oxford: Westview Press, 2008. Print.
"Christotainment" discusses the merging of religion and media. I thought this was a fun and quirky way to research the general idea of our projects.

Williamson, Milly. The Lure of the Vampire: Gender, Fiction and Fandom from Bram Stoker to Buffy the Vampire Slayer. London: Wallflower Press, 2005. Print.
I am using this text to help myself understand fully what the appeal of a vampire is in relation to my comparison of human homosexuals/vampires . Directly in the introduction it states "The vampire is a voraciously sexual woman, and a hyper-sexual African, a hypnotic Jewish invader, an effeminate or homosexual man."
